Photographer / director Joshua Pestka encourages beauty in everything around him. His passion for image-making grew while spending almost half a decade living in Japan, learning the language and fully immersing himself in the culture. Upon returning to NYC, Josh found the perfect place to unite his love of the Japanese language and visual art: on-set, and he hasn’t looked back since. Whether working with a celebrity, model or real woman, his approach to directing a subject is always the same, rooted in respect, positivity and collaboration, allowing his subjects to truly feel good in their own skin. His clients also enjoy a deep level of partnership and commitment, with his support extending beyond the day of the shoot.

Josh now regularly contributes to some of the world’s top editorials, including various international editions of Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, L’Officiel and Vogue, as well as teaming up with a wide range of commercial beauty and fashion clients, including Murad, Christian Louboutin, Maybelline, L’Oreal, Clinique, Solstice and Covergirl.
